What belongs in the message
Three sentences are enough: what you are building, where it is stuck, what you expect. If you do not know what you expect, write that — it is a usable starting point too.
What does not help: an enquiry kept so general that any answer would fit. Anyone who writes “I want to go self-employed, can we have a call some time” gets a question back instead of an appointment. That is not a hurdle, that is the first step of the work.
You will get an honest answer — including the one that says you do not need me for this. That is not a sales tactic, that is the condition, and it holds from the first sentence, in both directions.
What I am not the right person for
